Conrad works with slips is dramatic weathering of corrosion. she’s focused on the point of balance between existence and decay. I’ve highlighted her work as a connection to my work in slips in the City project. Experimentation I can maybe encounter later on in a different project. She’s experimented with methods of colour application to the surface, being entranced by the peeling paint and sun-faded natural colours in Southern Europe. She uses vitreous slips, which I mix and intermix from raw materials with primary pigments.
