New Art Centre, Johannes Nagel

As recommended by Claire Curneen I went on a day trip to Salisbury to the New Art Centre that had an incredible sculpture garden but most importantly, the first solo exhibition in the Artist House of Johannes Nagel.

I’m aware i’ve bombarded this post with photos but I’ve fallen even further in love with his work. The experimental and playfulness within his work is mesmerising. He has given himself no limits.  “Nagel creates extraordinary groupings of highly individual ceramic pieces, exploring both the future and the past of ceramic practice and thought. His design processes often question the meaning, the ritual and the function of the vessel, resulting in pieces on the edge of form-taking.”
